 Ecco il prototipo dell'ASUS di un videofonino che comunica SOLO tramite Skype.
Ad investire sul progetto è appunto la ASUS che ha scelto Skype per la comunicazione.
Questo telefono pesa circa 1,6 Kg non necessita di SIM poichè sfrutta solo connessioni tramite reti Wi-Fi ed ethernet.
Questo apparecchio ha un display da 7 pollici con risoluzione 800×480, una webcam integrata con risoluzione 640×480 ed ha una batteria che dura in conversazione solo una ventina di minuti a fronte di un tempo di piena ricarica di circa 2 ore.
Il prezzo di mercato dovrebbe essere intorno ai 250 euro e la sua uscita sul mercato dovrebbe avvenire al'inizio del 2009
